Obviously there are people out there who know what resolution the game runs at on Xbox One, but several journalists including Forbes' Erik Kain and Furious Fanboys' Jeremy Conrad have come forward to claim an NDA forbids talking about it. I know what our 1st party games are doing." Compared with Sony's Adam Boyes proudly announcing at the PlayStation Brazil conference that the game runs at a native 1080p on PlayStation 4, the evasive answers have understandably raised eyebrows. Similarly, the company's Phil Spencer responded by saying, "As first party I don't get builds of 3rd party games. While the words are comforting, they don't address the claims that the game is native 720p. Wait for real footage, then judge for yourself." For starters, when Microsoft's Albert Penello was asked on Twitter about the rumour, he responded, "I've seen COD: Ghosts running on Xbox One. While this may just sound like a conspiracy theory, a host of supporting evidence has now been put forward to support the claim.

Considering the franchise's long history with Microsoft, including exclusive content, they posit that the only reason the PS4 would be used is because the game looks better on that console rather than on Xbox One. NeoGAF members have shared their confusion over the fact that when we recently got a chance to preview the game, it was shown off on PlayStation 4 rather than Xbox One.

but thats my 2 cents. It is reported that Call of Duty: Ghosts will run native 1080p on PlayStation 4 and upscaled 720p on Xbox One.Multiple sources from around the web report that while Call of Duty: Ghosts has been confirmed to run at a native 1080p on PlayStation 4, there's growing evidence that the Xbox One version will natively run at 720p, but will be upscaled. land on 4k TV's so you don't find yourself wishing you had waited. I'd personally try to stretch what you have another 6-12 months to see where pricing, standards, etc. your either going to get a "good deal" on a 1080p set or your going to get an "early" 4k set. I only make these points to say, it's kind of a lame time to buy a TV.

not when your standing next to the TV looking for it, but when your actually sitting at your "typical use scenario".

Take a look at your viewing distance, how big your new tv will be, and how good your vision is to determine if you even have the visual acuity to "see" the resolution difference. That's not to say there AREN'T better TV's, but I'm saying it comes down to a lot more then just resolution/pixels. I'll take that over your run of the mill 42" cheap LCD tv that has "120hz" or whatever new buzz word they are pushing. Simply put, Panasonic plasma's (and Pioneer as well) had the absolute best black levels. I have a 720p Panasonic set in my bedroom (42") that I would still put up against a lot of modern 1080p sets. How close do you sit? How's your vision? Is it a nice high quality 720p set? Plasma? What do you want to replace it with? Converting to LCD? Bigger? It's so much more complex then "your missing out on XYZ # of pixels".
